What is Chinese Fondue?
Chinese fondue is a kind of cooking method that uses a pot as a utensil, heat the pot with a separate heat source and boils water or soup to boil various types of food. It can also refer to the pot used in this cooking method. While the hot pot is kept simmering, ingredients are placed into the pot and are cooked at the table, in a manner similar to the hot pot.
What to serve with Chinese fondue
Dipping sauce 1: 2 teaspoons (30g) of sesame oil, 2 teaspoons (20g) of sesame sauce, 2 teaspoons (20g) of ground peanuts, 1 teaspoon (15g) of green onion, salt, MSG, and oil chili.
Dipping sauce 2: One-half bowl of sweet and sour juice (1 spoon of cooking wine, 2 spoons of soy sauce, 3 spoons of sugar, 4 spoons of vinegar, 5 spoons of water, coriander. You can also increase or decrease the seasoning ratio according to your taste).
Dipping sauce 3: 2 teaspoons (30g) of peanut butter, 1 teaspoon (15g) of seafood soy sauce, 2 teaspoons (10g) of garlic, dried shrimps, coriander, fried peanuts, salt, monosodium glutamate, sesame oil in moderation.
Dipping sauce 4: 4 teaspoons (60g) of sesame paste, 1 teaspoon (10g) of fermented bean curd, 1 teaspoon (10g) of garlic, 1 teaspoon (10g) of Chinese chives, amount of coriander, sesame oil and MSG.
Dipping sauce 5: 4 teaspoons (60g) of chili oil, 1 teaspoon (10g) of Sichuan pepper powder, millet pepper, salt, monosodium glutamate, sesame oil, parsley, and shallots.
Dipping sauce 6: 2 tablespoons (30g) of Sa cha sauce, 1 tablespoon (15g) of mountain pepper sauce, 2 teaspoons (10g) of garlic paste, 1 teaspoon (10g) minced mustard.
Chinese fondue recipe
You’ll need:
1/2 Sanhuang chicken
250g lamb roll
250g beef roll
300g hot pot meatballs
1 luncheon meat
200g beef loaf
100g mushroom
1 bag hot pot noodles
100g Chinese cabbage
100g spinach
1 duck blood
2 sugar garlic
200g sesame sauce
3 fermented bean curd
Soy sauce
Chinese chives
Chili oil
Green onion
Coriander
How to make Chinese fondue
1. Heat a wok with boiled water, and cook the Sanhuang chicken for a while, Transfer the chicken on another wok with boiled water and add 2 ginger slices, 1 green onion and 1 tablespoon of cooking wine. Cook the chicken.
2. Add 200g sesame sauce in a bowl, add cold water several times and stir until thin. According to your favorite, use fermented bean curd, soy sauce, sugar garlic, Chinese chives, chili oil, green onion and coriander to bring out your favorite dipping sauce.
3. Pour the chicken soup in a hot pot. Serve it with hot pot ingredients.
