What is Grass Jelly?
Grass jell as known as Chinese Mesona. It is a traditional specialty drink in the south of Fujian’s and Taiwan regions. Among them, the ancient authentic practice is directly cooked with the platostoma palustre, while other useful grass jelly powder or grass jelly liquid. In addition to being popular in Fujian and Taiwan, Grass jelly is also popular in Japan and Southeast Asia.
The origin of the grass jelly is related to the Hakka people in Miaoli, Taiwan. Most of Miaoli are Hakkas. They came from Fujian and Guangdong hundreds of years ago, and the practice of grass jelly is similar to the Guangdong.
According to the different ingredients, it can be divided into ancient grass jelly tea, original grass jelly, winter melon grass jelly, black sugar grass jelly, matcha red bean grass jelly, honey red bean grass jelly, soy milk grass jelly.
What does grass jelly taste like
It tastes mild and slightly bitter. With the specific approach change, the taste is also varied. For example, the raw materials are divided into raw grass, fairy grass powder, and fairy grass liquid. Adding a different ingredient ratio will produce a different taste.
What is grass jelly made of

How to make Grass Jelly
Grass Jelly Recipe:
INGREDIENTS
• 300ml cold water
• 2.2l boiling water
• 100g grass jelly powder
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Mix the grass jelly powder and 300ml cold water in a large bowl. Stir to dissolve.

2. Pour the mixture and 2.2L boiling water in a wok. Over Medium heat, start cooking the mixture until boiling. At the same time, using a spatula stir the mixture until the mixture thickens.

3. Transfer it into a container and cool at room temperature for 1 hour.
Put it into the refrigerator and chill for at least 2 hours.

4. Cut the grass jelly into cubes, and then move them into your serving compartment cautiously. Add sugar, fruit and other ingredients. Serve.
