Chinese Spinach is a nutritious vegetable that is very popular in China. Now, It is spread all over the world and widely cultivated throughout China.
What is Chinese Spinach?
Chinese Spinach (Spinacia oleracea L.) also known as the Persian dish, Bare root vegetables and the parrot food. It can be grown as high as 1 meter, the roots are reddish cone-shaped, and the leaves appear as bright green leaves or ovate.
It is a vegetable cultivated by the Persians more than 2,000 years ago. It is also called “Persian Grass” and was brought to China by Nepalese in the Tang Dynasty. It is rich in carotenoids, vitamin C, vitamin K, minerals (calcium, iron, etc.), coenzyme Q10 and other nutrients. It can often be used for broth, cold salad, and stir-fried or garnish with leeks.

1. Good spinach stalks are short red and the leaves are fresh and elastic.

Chinese Spinach Recipe:
You’ll need
600g fresh Chinese Spinach, soak the spinach for half an hour after washing and remove the root
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 medium cloves of garlic, minced
Vegetable oil
1 tablespoon Peanut
1/2 tablespoon vinegar
1/2 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
How to cook Chinese Spinach
1. Heat a wok with oil, stir-fry peanut under small heat until fragrant. Transfer it in a bowl and set aside.
2. Wash the pot, and then add water, a little vegetable oil and salt in the wok. And cook it until boiling, add the Chinese Spinach in the wok and continue to cook it until cooked. Transfer the Chinese Spinach to a large bowl with cold water and then drain it.
3. Mix the Chinese Spinach, light soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, salt, garlic and sesame oil on a plate. Sprinkle peanut and serve.
