Hunan shrimp is a healthy and extremely Chinese dish, and it is very easy to make. It is an appetizer that can be made in less than 30 minutes.
What is hunan shrimp?
Hunan shrimp is prepared by seasoning shrimp starch with spicy sauce and then frying at high temperatures. According to personal preference, a little recipe can also add egg white, it is one of the best Hunan recipes. Pairing it with rice and steamed vegetables are the best choice for many people.
Hunan shrimp recipe
You’ll need:
500g shrimp
Salt
2 tablespoons cooking wine
2 tablespoons light soy sauce
2 ginger slices
1 green onion
2 cloves garlic
2 red chili pepper
2 green pepper
Starch
Anise
cinnamon stick
How to make hunan shrimp
1.Wash the shrimp with the shrimp line removed and put them in a bowl. Add 2 tablespoons of cooking wine, 2 tablespoons of light soy sauce and starch. Mix them well and marinate for 10 minutes. Peel and chop the ginger, and then chop the garlic.
2. Chop the green pepper, red chili pepper and green onion. Heat a wok with oil until 220°C or 425°F, stir-fry the shrimp until color change. Transfer them on a plate.
3. Heat a clean wok with oil, and stir-fry cinnamon stick, anise, garlic and ginger until fragrant. Add the green pepper and red chili pepper until fragrant. Pour the shrimp and continue to stir-fry them well. Season with salt and sprinkle with green onions. Transfer it on a plate and serve.
