Chinese Steamed Chicken is a chicken dish made by steaming. This method of cooking greatly preserves the original flavor of the chicken and makes the chicken more delicious, smooth, fragrant, and even the bones have an aroma.

What is Chinese Steamed Chicken
Among many chicken dishes, Chinese Steamed Chicken is the favorite of most Guangzhou people. It is a dish made mainly from pure tender chicken, minced garlic and other ingredients. The cooking method is simple.
It is to put the whole chicken directly into the steamer and steam it. This greatly preserves the original flavor of the chicken, which makes its tastes more delicious and not greasy, and the aroma is full of mouth.

Chinese Steamed Chicken Recipe:
You’ll need:
1/2 chicken or whole chicken (option)
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 teaspoons starch
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 tablespoon dark soy sauce (option)
For the sauce
2 tablespoons ginger, finely minced
Vegetable oil
2 tablespoons light soy sauce
3 tablespoons garlic, finely minced
How to make Chinese Steamed Chicken
1. Wash the chicken, mix 2 teaspoons of starch, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a bowl and evenly spread on the chicken. Marinate it for about 20 minutes.

2. Heat a wok with water until boiling. Put the chicken in the wok across a plate, steaming it under high heat for 15-20 minutes. Turn off the fire, and wait for 10 minutes until you can easily insert chopsticks in and no blood was found. ( Or you can steam the chicken in a steamer for 20-30 minutes.)

3. Heat a wok with oil, and stir-fry ginger, garlic and 2 tablespoons light soy sauce until fragrant. Transfers it on a bowl. Cut the cooked chicken and serve it with the sauce.
