What is beef chow mein
Beef chow mein is a traditional dish of Guangdong Province, which belongs to Cantonese cuisine. It is a gourmet made with noodles, beef as the main raw material, and onion, ginger slices, etc., which is delicious and nutritious.
Beef lo mein vs chow mein
The difference is that the beef lo mein is just cooked the noodle in boiling water, while the beef chow mein is cooked the noodles by stir-fry in the wok with oil.
How to create tender beef
Method 1: First, add 2-3 tablespoons of vegetable oil to the raw beef and mix well. Marinate it for 20-30 minutes. And then stir fry the beef. That will create tender beef.
Method 2: Mix the raw beef with vegetable oil and starch. Marinate it for 1 hour. Then fry it will get the tender beef.
Method 3: Soak raw beef in water containing a small amount of baking soda for several minutes, drain and stir-fry to get tender beef.
Method 4: Brush a layer of mustard on the surface of raw beef, and marinate it for 7-8 hours. Then, rinse the mustard with cold water and stir-fry the beef can create tender beef.
What noodles to use

1/2 onion
100g fat beef
1 egg
120g noodle
1 teaspoon cumin
1 tablespoon light soy sauce
1/2 tablespoon dark soy sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
1 pinch salt
800ml clear water
2 tablespoon vegetable oil
How to make beef chow mein
1. Slice the onion. Heat a wok with water until boiling, and cook the noodles, then transfer it on clear water immediately. Drain and set aside.
2. Beat 1 egg in a bowl. Heat a wok with oil, and stir-fry egg well. Transfer it on a plate. Add the onion in the wok and continue to stir-fry it until soft. Add the fat beef and continue to stir-fry a few times. Sprinkle the cumin and stir well.
3. Add noodles, 1 tablespoon of light soy sauce, 1/2 tablespoon of dark soy sauce, sugar and salt in the wok. Stir-fry them evenly. Then add the egg and stir-fry them well. Transfer on a plate and serve.
